BeyBlades

At Christmas time Drostan was introduced to beyblades and has been obsessed with them since. In fact it is an effective bribery tool (yes I result to bribery with my children). It was a reward for sleeping in his upstairs bed two weeks in a row. He loves to play with anyone he can talk into it, which is most of the time dad ;)
But he also plays by himself often.

He even lets Grayson watch and sometimes play (or eat as the case may be) with his beyblades.

Snowball fights

A few weeks ago we actually got snow. Granted it barely covered the ground and was gone early afternoon, but fun none the less. Our temperatures lately have been high 50s to 60s and we were excited to even see snow. I think the temp was around 60 that day...thus the short sleeves.

Soccer

Drostan started soccer again this week.
He love to practice kicking the ball.

He even go to do the opening kickoff for his team.

Everything was going great as he marched down the field towards the goal.

Until the hord of other player decended and then Drostan decided he didn't want to be by the ball any more. Every time the group of kids following the ball would come towards him he would cry and cling to either me or Devan. He did a lot better being involved in the game than last year, he even had some really good kicks, but I'm thinking he is not a contact sport kink of guy. But after the game as we were leaving, he said he had fun and wants to do it again next week. Who knows, maybe he will suprise us all next week and actually let go of mom's hand.  I take solace in the fact that he is definately not the only child exhibiting such behaviors. For now we let him do as much as he will; he is only three after all.

Stuck indoors

Last week Devan took the week off for my birthday. We were going to go somewhere and have a lot of fun. But our children came down with the flu and were vomiting and had diarrhea all week. Change of plans. I decided since we were stuck in the house we might as well improve our surroundings. I went to the store and bought a gallon of paint and put everyone to work. Actually I only put Devan to work. I couldn't keep Drostan away. He had a great time and didn't even get much on him or anything else. In the end I was very pleased with how our dining room turned out. All I need now is an actual dining room table.

The other day Drostan was eating shredded wheat and watching cartoons and Grayson was happy playing with toys, so I snuck upstairs to check email and other things on the computer. They were quiet for quite some time so I admit I spent more time on the computer than I probably should have. When I went back downstairs I found out why they had been so quiet....Grayson had gotten Drostan's cereal while he was so engrosed in watching TV that he was paying no attention. Needless to say, without any supervision Grayson had a blast eating and smearing shredded wheat and milk all over my living room carpet.  These pictures don't do it justice though because you can't really see the extent since the cereal and carpet are both light.

Grayson is always causing mischief whether he is pulling on cords, getting on daddy's computer, pulling hair or pretending to bite. He loves the reaction he gets. It's too bad he is so stinking cute or he might actually get in trouble.
